Aramark Catering for Nissan SunderlandAramark are Nissan's food service provider at their Sunderland plant which is the largest car factory in Britain. It has 24 hour production of around 2,000 cars a day and a workforce of 5,400 people.
Managing EPoS to cater for so many staff across four outlets each of which is a car journey apart presented a challenge, one that Fidelity worked with Aramark and Nissan to resolve.
A bespoke 1,200m fibre optic cable network was installed to link a total of 13 touch screen terminals into Fidelity's back office software. This enabled the efficient completion of everyday management tasks e.g. price changes and promotions. Whilst also providing a clear view of all KPI's at a global level.
This functionality was further enhanced by Fidelity's development of a customised system report which streams data into Aramark's business management solution OPX. This is used globally around Aramark's estate of blue chip companies as well as their further education/higher education clients.
The touch screen terminals themselves are operating Fidelity's GPoS software which has been configured to enable quick consistent service across all of the outlets.
The integration of Fidelity's Instant Loyalty software, a cashless account card scheme was introduced to efficiently manage payments for corporate hospitality requirements such as training sessions, meetings with visitors and internal gatherings.
These cards activate special price levels for discounted or free meals for staff and/or visitors with a daily meal plan allowance. Custom date range reports are then available to invoice the appropriate internal departments.
The loyalty systems second phase will allow all employees of Nissan to use the card system to trigger offers and price levels which will encourage them to use the facilities.
This fully integrated system is further proof that Fidelity's solution is perfect for the most demanding of catering environments and hospitality venues.
