Cashless payments

Cashless payments

We have started to see a trend over the past six months of businesses moving to cashless payments using our Debitrak system integration. The trend is being led by colleges but we’re also starting to see other businesses want to tap into the benefits of being cashless too. We have recently installed Debitrak at a golf club, and other membership style organisations are looking into how a cashless system could work for them.

Cashless colleges

The benefits for colleges are very clear. Cashless catering is not only safer for students, but it also eradicates any stigma around free meal provision with all students using the same style card to pay for meals.

The system also provides reporting for free meal provision, making it easy to see what allocation is being used and what isn’t. It’s also compatible with multiple bursaries.

Bishop Burton College

Bishop Burton College, just down the road from us in Beverly, Hull. Are just having their cashless system upgraded to the Debitrak solution. They plan to add in our food ordering app later this year, to further enhance their catering offering.

They have used their existing student cards to run their cashless catering. As long as cards have a unique identifier on them, a barcode/unique number/QR code, we are usually able to use existing cards.

Cashless clubs

Membership organisations such as golf clubs and leisure facilities are also able to benefit from going cashless.

Normanby Hall

Normanby Hall is a visitor attraction and member’s golf club in North Lincolnshire. They are about to commence with a trial of the Debitrak cashless solution. Their golf club members will get a card to use in the club house to access discounts on purchases. They will be able to top up their cards online.

The club house has had a new till and chip and pin payment device for managing the cashless  payments.

If the trial is a success and accepted well by their golf members, they will roll the scheme out across their Normanby Hall estate with all their estate members.

This is a fantastic way for them to add value to their membership offering. And in the future, if they integrated our new Customer Portal, they would then be able to access all the data about their members buying, spending and visiting stats. The data would help to shape future promotions and marketing activity.
